The Crystal Nucleus is a Zone in the center of the Crystal Hollows where players can place their Gemstone Crystals to earn rewards, claim Commissions at Emissary Sisko, and modify Drills at Geonathan Greatforge, and purchase upgrades at Gemma for Diamond Essence.
Crystal Hollows lobbies are open for a limited time before they reset and generate new tunnels. Somewhere between the 17th and 19th day (about 6 real-life hours), the lobby will close, meaning new people aren't able to join that lobby when entering the Crystal Hollows.
Mechanics. Initially, players have only two commissions slots, but after completing 100 commissions, players will gain commission slot 3 for a total of three slots. Additionally, at Heart of the Mountain V , players can unlock the Peak of the Mountain perk for a fourth slot.
Inside the Crystal Hollows mined blocks are not replaced with bedrock; instead they are removed. Along with this blocks can be placed in most areas. Ores that require a furnace do not require Smelting Touch to be obtained. Stone is replaced by Hard Stone within the Crystal Hollows, which is harder to break than Stone.
In most areas ores will then respawn in random locations, but in the ⏣ Dwarven Mines and ⏣ Crystal Hollows they have fixed spawning places. In ⏣ Glacite Mineshafts ores don't respawn at all.
Goblin Eggs have a rare chance to drop from various Goblin-type Mobs across the Dwarven Mines and Crystal Hollows. They can also be obtained from Treasure Chests in the Goblin Holdout section of the Crystal Hollows.
Players can level up their Heart of the Mountain tiers by gaining HotM experience, which can be accumulated by completing Commissions, participating in various active mining events and completing nucleus runs.
Ruby. The Ruby Crystal is obtained as a 0.002% drop from mining Ruby or as a reward from the Crystal Nucleus treasure stash. It has a chance of 0.82441590% to be rolled as a drop from the treasure stash.
